IoP President Gives Her Thoughts
The current president of the UK's Institute of Physics, Jocelyn Bell-Burnell, gives her thoughts on the state of physics, physics education, and IoP's function in this video.
Bell-Burnell is the most understated and likeable people to hold the IoP presidency. I attended a lecture recently, just after she had been appointed, in which she talked for an hour on pulsars and white dwarf stars, without once even hinting at her own critical role in their discovery.
